How Far in Advance Should I Book My Move?

It can become overwhelming. One of the most important things is choosing your moving company to ensure your belongings won’t be damaged when they’re in transit. Although there’s no shortage of moving companies, there is a shortage of reliable and reputable moving companies.

What to ask your moving company

Are you properly licensed?

This may seem like a given, but it’s not. Make sure that if you ask to see proof of their licensing, that they can provide it to you. This will eliminate the moving scams as well as companies who aren’t trained to do this kind of work.

Do you have experience with this type of move?

Some moving companies only have moved people within the same city, or from house to house. For example, if you are moving a far distance, or even nationwide it’s important to know if your company can handle your move. If not, then it’s best to move on and get a company that knows exactly what to do.

Do you have references or customer testimonials?
