Most moves happen Friday-Sunday because it’s less time you have to take off work, but some moving companies rates skyrocket because their employees could be contracted your typical Monday-Friday, 9-5 jobs. If you are able to take time off of work for moving, moves Monday-Thursday typically are a lower cost for you.
No matter what time of year or time of week you move, the best thing you can do for your move to run smoothly is to prepare. If you are moving in the summer months, while you may not have to prepare for weather – you’ll have to prepare for more demand. In the winter, you may have less cost associated with moving, but could potentially run into weather delays/problems.
